60 couples tie knots at Kalyanamastu

Kalyanamastu, a charitable en masse weddings being conducted by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, united 60 couples at the Lalita Kala Thoranam here on Saturday.

About 60 mass weddings took place here at 11.40 a.m. in the Tula Lagnam and Hasta nakshatram on Saturday, in the presence of families and friends of the wedding couples, and devotees of  Venkateswara.

According to TTD   sources, the TTD has  gifted the couples with a gold mangalasutram, silver toe rings, and a set of wedding clothes to the couple.

The marriage  ceremonies on  Saturday  were  followed by a wedding feast for the couples and their families.

Chief Minister K Rosaiah was the  chief guest on  the  occasion.  Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy also graced the occasion.
