Jagan in a piquant situation?

Taking a serious view of the Congress  high command disassociating itself from his Odarpu Yatra, Kadapa MP Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy was closeted himself with his supporters on Friday.

It was amply clear that his recent patch-up bid with the Congress High Command  did not yield the desired results. Andhra Pradesh Congress incharge and Law Minister Veerappa Moily seemed to have been pulled up by Sonia Gandhi for not dealing  firmly with indiscipline in Andhra Pradesh Congress. Having failed on all fronts, in a bid to come to terms with the High Command, Jagan may be in a dilemma about what  course of action he must follow.

During the meeting, he discussed with his supporters a meeting commemorating YSR's death on Sept 2 at Tirupati where Jagan is scheduled to release a  poster. Jagan's close associates have speculated that the Kadapa MP may float a party on that day and announce his future programme.

However wild guesses are doing the rounds across the state and in the political circles. The split of Congress, the collapse of Rosaiah government, suspension of Jagan from the party and Jagan floating a party are among the rumours. According to latest intelligence reports, Jagan’s stock of support is dwindling and there may not be more than 20 MLAs who would back him outright. Only time will tell how the state politics will shape up  in the days to come with TRS claiming a morale boosting victory in the  just concluded by-elections..
