The Congress High Command has issued  orders to Congressmen in Andhra Pradesh not to associate themselves with the ''Odarpu Yatra'' being carried out  by Kadapa MP Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy.

So far, there has been no clear-cut instructions to the Congressmen on 'Odarpu Yatra' from the High command, but now it has been made clear that the  party will take action against those joining or attending Odarpu Yatra.

The instructions from the party high command is an indicator that the Congress is disassociating itself from the Yatra. Odarpu, according to party insiders, is an arsenal evolved by Jagan to rebel against the party aparatus.

According to reports, despite the party High Command's instructions, Jagan went ahead with the Odrpu Yatra. Hence, it was obviously a contravention of the  leadeship's dictats.

The development within two days of Jagan's parleys with Sandeep Dikshit on Parliament Complex in New Delhi has unnerved many in Jagan’s camp. The Delhi Chief Minister's son was, apparently, mediating between Jagan and AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi, party sources feel.

Staunch Jagan aides Siridhar Reddy and Srikanth linked the latest outcome with the misinformation campaign launched against Jagan.

Soon after the leadership's communique, Jagan called a closed-door meeting with his followers on Friday to chalk out his future course of action.
