Jagan meets Rahul's friend

Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy seemed to have extended an an olive branch to powers-that be through a close confidante in the party.

AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi is reported to have sent a close friend, Sandeep Dixit to hold discussions with Jagan. Sandeep Dixit, son of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit held the discussions with Jagan in the Lok Sabha lobby for more than an hour on Tuesday.

Jagan is believed to have been apologetic for what he had done in the recent months and was willing to modify his rebellious nature. However, he was pleading for a decent party post in the State, it is learnt.  

It is understood that Sandeep would forward the message to Rahul. It remains to be seen how Rahul will respond to Jagan’s message.

Meanwhile, the AICC circles denied any efforts by Jagan to come to terms with the High Command.

AICC General Secretary and AP affairs incharge Veerappa Moily said ``Jagan’s issue did not figure in the High Command Circles. It was purely a private matter that Sandeep Dixit met  Jagan in Delhi.''

Contacted by mediamen, Jagan Mohan Reddy said there was nothing new in the meeting. ``Sandeep is my close friend and we meet everyday. Why only today,'' Jagan replied to newsmen.
