Alleging that not even a single project would be completed in the state during the tenure of Major Irrigation Minister Ponnala Laxmaiah, Telangana Congress senior leader Palvai Govardhan Reddy on Monday demanded that the government order an inquiry into the Rs 50,000-crore Jalayagnam projects.
The Irrigation minister is misguiding Chief Minister, K Rosaiah, so a thorough probe is needed on Jalayagnam projects.
The Congress leader warned that there would be ‘Water Wars’ if the government diverted the Krishna water from Srisailam project to the Pothireddypadu before drawing water from the Nagarjuna Sagar project. He supported the allegations leveled against Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy by PRP Chief Chiranjeevi.
On the other hand PCC Campaigning Committee member and Jagan’s loyalist, Pulla Reddy refuted the charges of Palvai Govardhan Reddy against Jagan.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan immediately after Palvai Govardhan Reddy spoke, Pulla Reddy told reporters that he has to prove the allegations of Chiranjeevi against Jagan.
