Chief Minister K Rosaiah's tour of Khammam district on Friday has been put off due to inclement weather. The helicopter by which the Cm is expected to travel will not be in a position to fly in the cloudy weather, a Cm’s office press release revealed.
As per schedule, Rosaiah was supposed to lay the foundation stone for construction of an anicut across the Wyra River at Jalimudi village in Madhira mandal of Khammam district on Friday.
The anicut has been proposed across the river at an estimated cost of Rs 29.38 crore to irrigate about 4,900 acres spread in 18 villages in Madhira and Bonakallu mandals.
According to the official itinerary, the Chief Minister was to address a public meeting at Siripuram village in Madhira mandal at 3 p.m. on Friday.
