One more suicide over the separate Telangana issue was reported from Uyalawada Satyamthanda village, Dornakal mandal in Warangal district on Tuesday.
According to reports, a young man, identified as Kishan Naik, allegedly committed suicide by consuming pesticides over the contentious issue.
Kishan Naik stated in a suicide note, purportedly written before he took the extreme step that Telugu Desam Party leaders Satyavathi Rathod, Repuri Prakash, Kadiyam Srihari, Nagam Janardhan Reddy and E Dayakar Rao be declared “traitors” of Telangana.
The suicide is the second such incidents after the recently held by-elections to 12 Assembly constituencies in the region. The pro-separate statehood party, Telangana Rashtra Samithi swept the by-elections.
A B Tech student, Eshan Reddy, had allegedly set himself on fire after the election results. Eshan Reddy had allegedly written a suicide note which said that he was fulfilling an oath to Goddess Maisamma that he would give his life as an offering if the TRS won the by-elections.
Police are investigating the suicide of Kishan Naik and the authenticity of the suicide note.
