In a bid to resolve the Babli issue, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has convened a meeting of chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra on August 2.
As reported earlier the all-party delegation led by Chief Minister K Rosaiah met the PM on July 26 asking him to intervene to find a solution.
According to a press release from PM’s office the chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra have been informed about this meeting.
Reacting to the invitation extended to him from the Centre, Rosaiah thanked the prime minister for arranging the meeting of the chief ministers of both the states on the contentious issue. He said this showed the commitment of the Prime Minister in resolving the issue.
