Mungode by-poll: Neck and Neck between TRS and BJP

The entire nation is watching closely the result of the Mungode bypoll in the Telangana state. The constituency witnessed the highest poll percentage recording 93%. It is known that the ruling Trs and the BJP put all their stakes viewing it as a battle of prestige. The counting of votes started a couple of hours back and it is turning out to be a neck-and-neck battle between Trs and BJP.

Unlike the exit polls which predicted a landslide victory for Trs with over 40% vote share as against BJP's over 30% vote share, the counting is throwing surprising results. Early trends show Trs taking an early lead but BJP quickly picked up and started leading in the areas considered to be the stronghold of Trs ministers and leaders.
