On Saturday, the movie recorded a slight 1.2% drop in numbers and added ₹4.15 Cr (net), taking its total net figures to ₹8.35 Cr in 2 days, while the total gross (India) earnings jumped to ₹9.60 Cr.Korean Kanakaraju collected around ₹4.00 Cr on Day 2 (Saturday, 8 Aug 2026) from 1,637 shows across 207 cities with 44.9% occupancy, registering a 19.7% ▲ increase from the previous day's ₹3.34 Cr. Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation (TFIEF) and the Telugu Film &amp; TV Dancers Association took a strong decision announcing non-cooperation with the Dancers’ Union.Sumalatha's &nbsp;Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation (TFIEF) and the Telugu Film &amp; TV Dancers Association issued a letter disassociating and isolating from the Dancers Union. The Federation said “Camera, editing and fighters’ unions among others will not support the Dancers’ Union from now onwards,”It continued that the dancers' unions for not revoking suspension of some of its members. It made it clear that the remaining 23 affiliated crafts would not extend support to the Dancers’ Union or its members. The Congress Party is bracing itself up to face the ensuing by-polls in Telangana to rejig its power equations in the State. In its latest endeavour to assert its supremacy in the state, the party is geared up for a thorough revamp in the organizational elections.
To &nbsp;this effect, the senior Congress leaders held a review meeting on Wednesday for conducting its organizational &nbsp;polls.
Returning officer Nachiappa and Rajya &nbsp;Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao were also present at the review meet.
The party's recent membership drive &nbsp;figured in the discussions. The members felt that the party made rapid inroads by garnering substantial support in the membership drive.

He touched only at the top of them and one gets a feeling that the job was only half done. While the first half established the characters of various people, second half tried to show them when they reach their peaks. There are few interesting scenes but with better screenplay, things would have become more interesting.The cinematography of Nagesh Banell is good. He showed the scenes in a visually appealing manner. The music of Tejaswi Poornachandra is good. The background score of Saumit Deshmukh is good and added value to the narration. Dialogues are impactful. Editing of Shravan Katikaneni is ok but could have been far better. Director KK seems to have drawn inspiration from Maniratnam's classic Thalapathi and the characters more or less resembled the same. A little finetuning of the script, even powerful screenplay and gripping narration exploring the three characters divining deep into them would have turned the output into a more powerful and impactful one. Considering all these aspects Cinejosh goes with a 2.25 rating for KJQ.

Arun Matheswaran did not deviate from the subject and even drag the romantic and love tracks with unnecessary lip locks, hugs and songs.Though even few romantic scenes slowed the pace of the film, he ensured that he quicky shifted to action genre to keep viewers interest glued. The first half ends on a decent note with the cat and mouse game between the cops and the rebels. The second half continues in the same way with the introduction of new characters and the pre climax connects chords with all with the film finally ending on a predictable note. The predictability in the story, illogical scenes and few boring elements undid all the hard work.The cinematography of Mukesh is good. He showed the period look in the story in a appealing and relatable manner. Anirudh Ravichander's tunes for the songs are just ok. The songs had a montage touch. But he elevated the scenes with his unique and terrific background score. He showed variety in the background music. He showed his creativity by scoring background in a poetic manner. Prasanna. GK's editing is quite fine but at times there are few repetitive elements. After the introduction of protagonist in a typical mass way &nbsp;he shows the heroine. The narration treads in a familiar trope and screenplay assumes a routine flavor. To the top of it, the over usage of Korean language puts off the viewers. The interval sequence and the possession of the spirit excites all, setting the tone for the second half.The second half's gangster role is dragged to the core. While few comedy scenes involving Varun Tej and Satya evoked laughter, others looked forced. The climax takes everyone by surprise and though looked different didn't leave the desired impact. The story ends in a funny way with the lead to the sequel.Thaman's music offered nothing new. The songs are few and didn't make much impact. Thaman's background music followed the same template. He however with the background music elevated the scenes. Manojh Reddy with his Cinematography showed the scenes in a realistic way. CGI and VFX looked subpar. He drew inspiration from them and tried to tell them in a realistic way.The narration starts in an interesting manner and the director does well balancing both sides of the views. The first three episodes keep the interest levels intact, but when one expects it to reach the next level with intense courtroom arguments, the director loses steam.From then on everything turns repetitive, testing the patience of the viewers. The slow pace of the narration ends up irritating the people. Dialogues turnout to be pretty ordinary. The expected emotions and drama in the courtroom arguments goes missing completely. Even the character arcs are not created properly after the initial introduction. The series and the narration lacked the required twists and turns.The first four episodes are predictable and offer no real twists. The fifth episode had a small twist but it did not excite anyone. The entry of Sameera only generates little interest. The screenplay is racy and with twists coming now and then, the first half turns out to be a decent watch.This set the tone for the interesting second half. While many expected the investigation to take off to new heights, the director Karna concentrated on highlighting the emotions and this impacted the pace of the narration. The screenplay went for the toss and this put off the viewers disconnecting them completely.To the top of it, the uneven pace, convoluted screenplay and investigation detailing instead of showing in action, concluding in dialogues, turned out to be a huge disappointment. What started as a thrilling ride turned out to be a bumpy ride in the end.The cinematography of Veda Vyas Gottipati showed the scenes in a natural and impactful manner. He used the camera angles and color combinations to maximum impact to show night scenes in an effective and realistic way. Anil Palasa's editing turned out to be a mixed bag. His editing is tight for most of the first half but he lost focus in the second half including many unnecessary and repetitive scenes.The background music of Sinjith Yerramilli created a good impact and elevated the scenes to the next level taking viewers into the narration keeping the interest levels intact. After a point of time, people look towards the exit door for respite. Even the entry of Mohan Babu doesn't improve the narration and add value to the proceedings.The music tuned GV Prakash Kumar tuned offered nothing new. Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya came up with spirited performances and director Ravi Namburi started the narration in a simple manner before turning the first half into a decent one with good twist. When one expected the film to take off to new heights in the second half, it slips down with dragged narration and illogical scenes. The emotional scenes and conflict has been highlighted quite well in the first half and the twist comes at a good time but he failed to maintain the same tempo in the second half.A little finetuning of the script and racy screenplay would have added value to the narration. Considering all these aspects Cinejosh goes with a 2.75 rating for Chennai Love Story.

Excitement increased when he teamed with H.Vinoth for Jana Nayagan, his final film before his political entry. The film which was supposed to release before the Tamil Nadu elections, got delayed due to various controversies and also censor hurdles. In-between producers faced lot of tensions with many backing out and when the film got leaked online. However, their stakes increased when Vijay created a sensation in the assembly elections and became the CM of the state. The film now overcame all the hurdles and is releasing on 23 July 2026. Fans are gearing up to celebrate the day as the festival , as the film now happens to be Vijay's first film as the CM of Tamil Nadu. The makers are now promoting the film not as Vijay's last film but Vijay's first film as the CM. The first half starts with Vijay trying to raise his daughter without any fear and then the narration shifts to the introduction of the antagonist. The entire antagonist episode and there after looks silly and ridiculous to the core.The substandard and poor graphics turned the scenes into a tedious watch. the first half turns out to be stale with no real high elements. The second half continues in the similar manner and the core soul and emotion of Bhagawanth Kesari's Beti Ko Sher Banao goes for a toss. The pre climax and climax turns out to be childish with video game like elements. One gets a feeling that even video games or TV serials have better graphics.Anirudh Ravichander is known for his impactful works and he tuned the music and composed BGM for the film. However it turned out to be extremely disappointing as the songs failed to entertain and also not shot in an appealing manner. His background music failed to make any impact. He couldn't be blamed as the narration did not give him chance to do so. The editing of Pradeep Raghav turned out to be miserable. There are many scenes that tested the patience of the viewers. Had he used the editing scissors there wouldn't have been any film at all. The cinematography of Satyan Sooran became a disappointing affair. The dialogues failed to connect chords and most of them are politically motivated. H.Vinoth got the golden opportunity to direct Vijay's last film. Vijay put in sincere efforts and Vinoth drawing inspiration from Balakrishna's Bhagawanth Kesari came up with Jana Nayakudu. Instead of elevating the emotions to the next level and better than the original, Vinoth concentrated on elevating the heroism of Vijay and also promote his political ideology. This resulted in the film turning out into a half baked one. Even the elevation scenes failed to make an impact and Vinoth shockingly killed the soul of the original. He failed completely with his story, screenplay and direction. The so called changes he made to the original instead of adding value, diluted the essence of the film and the message it intended to give to the society. Jana Nayakudu is touted to be the farewell film for Vijay but it turned out to be a failed farewell. He deserved better rather than this crap. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2 rating for Jana Nayakudu.

Fahad Faasil not only entertains but also mocks the character of Atharvaa and also the film's screenplay to leave all amused.But except for the two characters the film offers nothing new or exciting and turns out to be a tedious watch. The narration is stretched and screenplay is dragged to the core on a small point that hero cannot express his feelings for more than two and half hours.The film's convenient narration with Priety Mukhundhan's character disappearing surprisingly disappoints all. The convenient screenplay results in various characters appearing and disappearing as per the whims and fancies ot the director. The story offers nothing new and it is dragged completely with the pre decided runtime. To the top of it,the lead character not undergoing any transformation for almost 90% of the film tests the patience of the viewers.Director spent most of the time, highlighting the relationship between the lead character and his uncle and the girls in his life and in turn misses the emotional connection completely.The cinematography of Manoj Paramahansa showed the scenes in a natural and appealing manner. Rajeevan (Prithviraj Sukumaran), a government employee leads a happy life with his wife Meera (Parvathy Thiruvothu) and two daughters.However, his happy life gets rocked when money heist hits him hard without his involvement. He performed well as a middle class husband and father and came up with realistic and natural performance. However he did not get much chance to show variations in his expressions as he played the serious role throughout the film. He decided to thrill the views with money heist story. The story revolves around robberies and scams. He managed to excite all with the thrilling elements with the scenes before and after the robberies. He highlighted how the opinions of people and middle class family changes in the backdrop of money heist.Interest levels increase with the starting scene of the bank robbery which takes viewers into the story. However later the introduction of characters slowed the pace of the narration. But the twists and turns involving the lead character and others and the negative shades increases the curiosity levels. The police investigation and others in the first half brings and end setting the tone for the exciting second half.However, the second half goes for a toss with the hero kidnap scene and various sub plots. While the first half is natural, the second half had shades of artificiality and illogical scenes. Couple of scenes in the second half turns it into a decent one.Ramess' Editing could have been far better as there are many scenes that slowed the pace of the film especially in the second half. Cinematography showed the scenes in a natural and realistic manner and Dinesh Purushottaman followed the standard template and took viewers into the story. JakesBejoy's background score is in sync with the story and he managed to keep the scenes the intensity levels intact. Revolutionary poet Varavara Rao on Wednesday urged Chief Minister K Rosaiah to sanction amnesty to prisoners with good conduct by August 15.
 In a memorandum he submitted to Rosaiah at his Camp Office, Rao sought withdrawal of para-troops from Chattisgarh and abandoning of 'Operation Green hunt' against Maoists in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa.
 Rao told newsmen the Chief Minister promised to look into the demands in consultation with Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and jail officials.
The committee on 'Operation Green Hunt' recommended formation of an Empowered Citizen's Commission to investigate and recommend action against those responsible for violating human rights of tribal communities, he stated.
