PRP for truck with Cong on local issues

Praja Rajyam president K Chiranjeevi on Saturday stated the party would extend its support to Congress in a phased manner.

Talking to reporters after staging a dharna against petro price hike here at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram, he said the party would extend support to the Congress party on specific issues only.However, he made it clear the party would press for solving all public issues.

The actor-turned-politician took part in the dharna and raised slogans against the Centre. He urged the Centre to rescind its decision on fuel price hike as it would burden the common man.

He said price hike on LPG gas cylinders would lead to further increase in prices of essential commodities. The LPG hike would burden the poor and backward class people and disturb their financial position, he said.

He took out padayatra from Tummalapalli Kalakshetram to Sub-Collector’s office and submitted a memorandum to the Collector urging the government to drop in fuel price hike.
