Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Monday met Governor ESL Narasimhan at the Raj Bhavan. The meeting assumes significance in the wake of the Governor’s return to the Capital after his visit to New Delhi a day before.
Raj Bhavan sources said the Chief Minister and the Governor had a courtesy meeting for nearly an hour. The discussions veered round various aspects of state governance besides the law and order situation and the Central perception of the state of things in Andhra Pradesh among other things.
The political situation in the state in general and the feasibility of conducting byelections to the State Assembly might have figured during the meeting, sources figured it out.
However, official sources indicated that in view of the Monsoon session of the Assembly beginning on July 7, the Chief Minister had to apprise the Governor of the schedule.
