Telangana Rashtra Samti president K Chandrasekhara Rao threatened to wage a great war if the Centre fails to carve out a separate state of Telangana by December 31.
Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan here on Wednesday, the TRS chief noted, ``the people are quiet now because the Centre has announced the Srikrishna panel. Once the panel submits its report to the Government we hope a separate Telangana state will be carved out. If separate Telangana is not constituted by Dec 31 then there will be a big war. The war will continue till Telangana is achieved.’’
``We are not afraid that Telugu Desam and Congress are contesting the by-polls. The people are well aware that TDP and Congres will not stand by their word. The people will also teach them a lesson in the by-polls,’’ Kcr observed.
The legislators who have resigned for the sake of Telangana should be elected unanimously without any opposition, Chandrasekhar Rao felt. `` I am not going to ask any party not to contest , the Kcr added.
