TDP is the only main opposition to Congress: Chandrababu

Telugu Desam is the only party which  can withstand the onslaught of Congress party in the  State.  Many parties have sprouted like mushrooms to  oppose Congress but finally, either merge with Congress or had gone into oblivion, said TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu here  on Monday.

Interacting  with the media after Thota Naveen joined the TDP in his presence, the DP observed PRP which supported  Congress in the Rajya Sabha elections  will merge with Congress sooner or later. Thota Naveen was the PRP district leader of East  Godavari. He along with his supporters joined Telugu Desam on Monday at the NTR Trust Bhavan.

 Passing scathing remarks on the local political parties, Chadnrababu predicted that even the Telangana Rashtra Samiti  after the by elections will merge with Congress.

Telugu Desam has its own standing and will fight for the self respect of Telugus. We fight for the people and we are for the people, the former chief  minister noted.

``The ruling congees leaders have gone crazy and so they are going mad after money. To procure money they will stoop down  to any level. They  are even  ready to sell the state,’’ Chandrababu alleged.
