TDP MLAs to donate 3 months sal for CM’s relief fund

Hyderabad, Aug 21 :

 The Telugu Desam Party (Tdp) MLAs will donate their three months salary to the drought affected farmers in the state, said the former chief minister and Telugu Desam Legislature Party Leader, N Chandrababu Naidu.

Making a statement in the House on Friday during a discussion on drought, the Tdp leader said that the MLAs would donate their three months salary to the Chief Minister Relief Fund to take up relief operations in the rainfall deficit areas.leader

He alleged that the government is politicizing the drought issue for getting mileage in the state. He said the government is targeting the Opposition by mounting counter-attacks during discussions in the assembly.

He said that so far 56 farmers committed suicide in the state. If the government delays relief and rescue operations in the drought-hit areas, many farmers may take extreme steps.

He urged the government to take relief measures in the scanty rainfall areas without any delay.
