Satyam Babu is a hardcore criminal: Bhagwat

`` Satyam  Babu  is a hard core  criminal  and  at the same  time  he  is very shrewd ,’’ said   DIG Mahesh Bhagwat, who  interrogated  Satyam Babu in  Nandigama  on Saturday.

``The  details of how  Satyam Babu, the  prime- accused in 19-year-old Ayesha Meera's murder case,  escaped  from the clutches of police,  will be  revealed  only   after the inquiry,’’ the   senior  cop observed.

``After the initial interrogation,  we  can only  say  that he  escaped  through  the rear  window  of  the escort  vehicle ,’’ the DIG  observed.

He  was nabbed near  Jaggaiahpet in his relatives  house at  2 p.m. on Saturday. He is  keeping   good health  and he will be  handed  over to  the  Suryapet Police who   in turn  will produce him before the Court. As  the  cases of missing were  booked  against him in Suryapet Police  Station, there is no other  go  he has to be handed over  to Suryapet police, the DIG  explained.
