The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission reforms committee chairman Raju on Saturday met Governor E S L Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan and informed him about the reforms taken up by the committee.
The committee consisting of nine members met the Governor and briefed him about the reforms. It is learnt that the Governor also gave green signal for reforms committee to carry on its work.
Talking to reporters, chairman Raju said the commission has plans to introduce more reforms in a phased manner, in all the examinations.
He said the commission has already changed syllabus for Group I and Group II exams and there are no optionals for candidates. In the place of optional, the commission introduced common syllabus for all aspirants.
The commission is also planning to reduce weightage for interview, he said.However, Appsc chairman Y Venkatram Reddy did not turn up for the meeting.
