The proposed Mahanadu of Telugu Desam Party will be held as per schedule from May 27 to 29, according to TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu here on Thursday.
Interacting with the media at NTR Trust Bhavan here, the TDP president said `` at the moment we don’t have any plans to postpone this event. In case of any eventuality we will reconsider the decision of postponing Mahanadu.’’
The organizational elections to the local bodies will be held according to the convenience of the locals. Due to cyclone some of the programs have been disrupted but we will try to conclude all the programs as per schedule.
``Some of the key issues to be discussed during the Mahanadu include the failure of government in handling the Cyclone affected areas, financial crisis, law and order, corruption, misuse of power by the government and price rise. Lack of basic amenities, social justice, agriculture and power,’’ the TDP chief observed.
Cutting across party lines, the TDP chief gave a call to the party workers urging them to assist all those people who are affected by cyclone in whatever they can.
All the committees which have been assigned various works for Mahanadu to be held at Ganidpet are racing against the time to complete their task, the party sources said.
The NTR Trust would ready to come to rescue of cyclone affected people, he stated.
