The Committee for Consultations on the situation in Andhra Pradesh headed by Justice B.N. Srikrishna held consultations with Rayalaseema Abhyudaya Sangham headed by Telugu Desam Party leader Mysoora Reddy here on Tuesday.
Interacting with the media after his consultations with the Srikrishna panel, Mysoora Reddy said `` I suggested for a united Andhra Pradesh. The division of the state itself is a threat for the security of the country.’’
In case if there is a division in the state then a ``Greater Rayalaseema is a must,’’ added the senior TDP leader.
``I have placed before the panel the development that took place not only in Hyderabad but also in the district of Telangana, ‘’ Mysoora Reddy observed.
Later the panel heard the views of Samaikhya Andhra Students' JAC. Stressing the need for an integrated Andhra Pradesh, they submitted a 50-page report to the panel.
If the state is divided then it will pave way for terrorism and Maoists will have an upperhand in the ruling of the state, they felt.
``Setting aside all the political differences and regional feelings, we are ready to have an open discussion with the Osmania University JAC, ‘’ the Samaikhya Andhra Students' JAC explained.
