Praja Rajyam president K Chiranjeevi on Monday demanded that the state government should send an all-party delegation to New Delhi to prevail upon the Centre to accord national status to Polavaram project.
Talking to reporters, Chiranjeevi, who launched 11-day bus yatra seeking national status for Polavaram irrigation project at Antarvedi in East Godavari district, said that the government should explain to people what measures it is taking for getting national project status to Polavaram.
He urged the government to constitute an all-party delegationin consultation with various parties in the State. He advised the Congress leaders to sink their differences and work for solving the people’s problems.
Reiterating that he came to politics to serve the people, Chiranjeevi claimed “I don’t know selfish politics and I know how to serve the people only.”
