CM calls for doctors round-the-clock

The severe heat wave condition in the state, which has claimed 21 lives, on Friday, forced Chief Minister K Rosaiah to take stock of the situation.

As the scorching heat has caused severe shortage of drinking water, the CM instructed officials to ensure adequate water supply in problem areas and remote parts of the districts.

During the review meeting  the emphasis was on the supply of purified drinking water in the rural areas. It has been decided to take up the matter priority.

Energy Department officials were asked not to cut off electricity supply to pipe water supply projects.

The doctors and the medical staff of the Government hospitals in the Primary  were asked to be available round the clock to treat the  patients  affected  by sun stroke.
