Balakrishna Into TDP Politburo, Any Importance?

Former minister and Telugu Desam legislature party deputy leader in the assembly, K Atchannaidu has been appointed as TDP Andhra Pradesh unit president. Atchannaidu will replace another former minister from Srikakulam district, Kala Venkata Rao. Former Chief Minister and TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu on Monday reconstituted the state units of AP, Telangana, central committee and the highest decision making unit-politburo. However, L Ramana is retained as the party president for the Telangana state unit.

Chandrababu Naidu’s brother-in-law and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna has been inducted to the politburo. The question will Balakrishna be given any importance. Earlier, his elder brother Harikrishna was also included in politburo, but he wasn’t given any significance.

Guntur MP Galla Jayadev has been taken into TDP politburo to replace the vacancy created by his mother and former minister Galla Aruna Kumari. Curiously, Aruna Kumari has been taken into central committee.

Naidu named 25-member politburo and 27 member central committee. Former MLA from Jaggaiahpet, Sriram Tataiah (Rajagopal) has been appointed as party treasurer, the post held by former minister Sidda Raghavarao before he switched sides to YSRC recently.
