Chiranjeevi to take up padayatra for Polavaram

Praja Rajyam chief K Chiranjeevi on Wednesday threatened to take a brisk walk seeking national project status to Polavaram in the best interest of the farmers.

The actor told a gathering here that the Praja Rajyam has launched a campaign against the tardy pace of Polavaram project, and threatened to exert pressure on the state and UPA Government seeking a national project status for Polavaram.

Chiranjeevi dared Irrigation Minister Ponnala Laxmaiah to prove his commitment to the project. He plans to take his yatra to East, West Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam districts.
