The Srikrishna Committee, which is looking into the demands for and against separate statehood issue, on Monday heard the views of the Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (Mim).
Presenting its arguments before the panel, Mim opposed the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and called for steps to develop the backward regions of Telangana and Rayalaseema.
Asadududin Owasi and Akbaruddin Owaisi presented their views before the panel. Speaking to the media after meeting the panel they said ``their first priority was an integrated Andhra Pradesh. In case of any bifurcation, then it should be a Rayala-Telanganan with Hyderabad as its capital.’’
