TRS MLA Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy passed away in the early hours of Thursday at around 2:30 am at AIG Hospital in Gacchibowli, Hyderabad. Reddy, who represented the Dubbaka Assembly constituency as its legislator, had not been keeping well for quite some time due to critical health issues. He was survived by wife, son and a daughter.
As per reports, Ramalinga Reddy had developed complications due to stoppage of blood circulation to one of his legs. He underwent a surgery at a private hospital in Kompally nearly three weeks ago. Unfortunately, the surgery was unsuccessful and with his health condition deteriorated. His family members then shifted him to AIG Hospital last week. Reddy was put on a ventilator support. He breathed his last due to cardiac arrest.
Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy took an active part throughout the separate statehood agitation that his party spearheaded over the last decade. Before stepping into politics, he worked as a journalist.
