Derecognise TRS, Lagadapati tells EC

Demanding derecognition of Telangana Rashtra Samiti, Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal on Thursday urged the Election Commission to take action against TRS for making comments against Srikrishna Commission.

 Submitting a memorandum to Chief Election Commissioner Navin Chawla, he told reporters that TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao’s proclamation that he would lead a civil war in Andhra Pradesh if the panel report does not favour Telangana, would disturb peace in the state.

 The MP said KCR's statements demanding expulsion of the Andhrawalas would hurt the sentiments of the people, who are living peacefully for years in the Capital. 

KCR's unsavoury statements would arouse separatist tendencies and hence, the TRS has no right to contest the by-elections in the state, he said and urged the EC to derecognise the party.
