The tenth anniversary of the Telangana Rastra Samithi was celebrated with zeal by the party's rank and file at the Imperial Gardens here on Wednesday. Party supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao hoisted the party flag and kick-started the programmes.
The party members took the pledge to rededicate themselves to the values and principles of TRS and vowed to fight for a separate Telangana.
The activists also resolved to strengthen the hands of Kcr in his relentless fight towards achieving a separate Telangana. TRS came into existence on April 28, 2001 when he parted ways with Telugu Desam supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu who denied a ministerial berth.
Representatives from 119 Assembly segments of the Telangana region were invited to the meeting. Reviewing the progress made by the party in the last few years, the leaders are likely to chart out an action plan for the coming years.
Earlier, Kcr hoisted the party flag, greeted the leaders and party workers.
