Sonia's pat for Rosaiah

A pat and a pull-up means the same thing in politics.Chief Minister K Rosaiah  said on Saturday said that Congress president Sonia Gandhi  congratulated him for the efficient handling of the violence in the Old City.

Briefing his New Delhi visit to reporters, Rosaiah said Sonia Gandhi was all praise for the deft handling of the situation in the communally sensitive Old City. Even Sonia seemed to have asked the Chief Minister to reconsider the supply of seven-hour free power to farmers as it would burden the state government. She also asked Rosaiah to reconsider the plan to raise the power tariff.

He said he had informed Sonia Gandhi over the smooth conduct of the Budget session in Andhra Pradesh.Sonia also seemed to have assured intervention to sort out issues relating to the 11 barrages across the river Godavari being taken up by Maharashtra.Rosaiah said he had thanked Sonia for the smooth passage of Women’s Reservation Bill in the Rajya Sabha.
