Pleas for mine leases to be processed online

All mining lease applications will be processed online to ensure greater transparency and check graft, stated Minister for Mining B Srinivas Reddy.

After review meeting with his officials under the chairmanship of Chief Minister K Rosaiah at the Secretariat on Saturday, the minister told newsmen the Chief Minister has directed the officials to implement the process from Kadapa on a pilot basis.

Based on the response, the government would implement this process in other districts, he said. He also said the state government will announce a new mining policy this year and the resurvey works taken up in Obulapuram would be completed in this week.
