The All India Congress Committee will submit its report to the Srikrishna panel on the issue of state bifurcation, said Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas here on Wednesday.
Justifying the Congress decision to submit its stand on the controversial issue, Srinivas said ``I belong to a region. So it might raise doubts that my draft might favour one region which detrimental to the other region. In order to keep my stance and slate clean, the Congress High Command has taken the responsibility to submit the report to the Srikirshna panel.
However, the AICC will take into confidence all Congress leaders from all the regions of Andhra Pradesh before drafting the report, the PCC chief observed.
Referring to the nomination of candidates for the ensuing MLC elections, he said the candidates have not yet been finalized. The High Command will take the decision on the choice of candidates.
Regarding the Yatra undertaken by Jagan, DS said it was Jagan’spersonal tour and the party has nothing to do with it. The Government should make it clear whether Jagan has obtained the permission for his taking up the tour.On the likely cabinet expansion, the PCC chief said ``as far as I know, there is nocabinet expansion for the time being.’’
