The proposed visit of Chief Minister K Rosaiah to the district for April 14 has been put off due to unavoidable circumstances.
Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Anam Ramanarain Reddy told newsmen the Chief Minister will tour the district on April 30 instead.In view of Rosaiah’s visit to Delhi on April 15, the postponement has taken place.
During his Delhi visit, Rosaiah is expected to discuss with the Congress High Command the situation in the State with regard to MLC elections, the by-elections to the 12 Assembly seats and the likely Cabinet expansion among other things.
Anam condemned reports that in view of the Cabinet expansion all the ministers were asked to tender their resignation. According to Anam, the CM was given a free hand to pick Cabinet colleagues of his choice for the smooth functioning of the Government.
