Curfew lifted in 25 police station limits

City Police Commissioner AK Khan on Saturday announced the lifting of curfew in the 25 police station limits of curfew-bound areas og Old City.

Announcing the decision after reviewing the law and order situation with his colleagues, Khan told reporters that night curfew imposed on 25 police station limits would be lifted as soon as the situation returns to normal in the violence-affected areas.

Earlier, the police lifted curfew in the morning and re-imposed from 10 p.m to 5 a.m.However, Khan made it clear that Section 144 would continue to be clamped in all the violence-hit areas for some more days.
