Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah heaved a sigh of relief on Friday after Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi finally agreed to give an appointment to the Chief Minister.
With Sonia declining to meet Rosaiah on Thursday, the media went agog with rumors that all is not well between Sonia and Rosaiah and even some TV channels and newspapers went to the extent of saying that Sonia Gandhi is contemplating to replace the Chief Minister.
Taken aback by the negative publicity, Sonia Gandhi's aides advised the CM to stay for one more day so that he could meet her.
According to Congress circles, Sonia was too busy on Thursday to meet Rosaiah and that is the reason she ignored him.
Actually, Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has offered to step down on Thursday itself and that the issue had kept her busy in convincing him to take back the resignation.
The CM is expected to discuss the issue of cabinet reshuffle with her. He is also expected to meet Chidambaram who has been involved in the 'resignation drama' on Friday.
