Riding on a massive Modi wave sweeping through most parts of India, the Bharatiya Janata Party is set to return to power as it led in 292 seats. The BJP-led NDA government set to become the only non-Congress government to return to power in the Indian history. The alliance has taken a massive lead over the Congress-led UPA.
According to the latest trends, the NDA alliance is racing towards 350 seats mark out of the total 542 Lok Sabha seats. NDA had won 336 seats in 2014 polls, in which BJP had garnered 282 seats. The opposition party Congress is leading in just 50 segments. Overall, the UPA alliance is leading in 87 places.
Meanwhile, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's Ysrcp wave sweeps Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. The Party is leading on 152 seats, TDP on 23 seats and Janasena Party is trailing everywhere. But, the big news is Ysrcp is emerging as third biggest party in India, after BJP and Congress, in terms of winning highest lok sabha seats. The party is leading at 24 LOk Sabha Constituencies out of 25 segments.
YS Jagan who is going to take oath as AP CM on 30th of this month has stated that his first agenda is to attain special status to the state.
