All eyes are on the results of the recently held assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. People are speculating on the number of seats to be won by Chandra Babu Naidu's TDP, Jagan's YSRCP and Pawan Kalyan's Janasena. Huge betting is underway and tension is increasing ahead of the counting day on May 23rd.
In the meantime shocking rumors are spreading like wild fire that Pawan Kalyan while submitting his election expenses to the Election Commission, drastically deflated his expenses.
As per the Election Commission rules, a candidate contesting for the assembly can spend a minimum of Rs 28 lakh and those contesting for the Lok Sabha can spend a minimum of Rs 80 lakhs. However, almost all the candidates spent more than the prescribed amount.
Everyone knows that in the recent elections, all the parties spent money like water and candidates not only distributed cash but also liquor, sarees, silver, gold coins, two wheelers, sports kits, grinders etc to the voters.
But Pawan Kalyan in his expenses statement claimed that he spent just Rs 8 lakhs. This came as a shock as Pawan contested from two constituencies Gajuwaka and Bheemavaram.
Surveillance teams deployed by the Election Commission, who tracked Pawan's campaigning secretly found that Pawan spent more than three times of what he claimed to have spent. Following this Election Commission is planning to send notice to Pawan Kalyan.
