NTR had left an indelible mark in the political firmament of Andhra Pradesh and brought recognition to Telugu people world-wide, stated TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu at the NTR Ghat here.

Terming the party founder as an immortal personality who had fought for the self-esteem of Telugu speaking people, Naidu said, “his personality, talent and courage were unmatched. He created a niche for himself in the hearts of the people during his 14-year-long political career.”

Besides bringing recognition to Telugu people across the globe, NTR had always dreamt of alleviating poverty of the Telugu people, the TDP chief said.

He said that NTR had introduced various reforms and ensured development of the State in all spheres. He alleged that the Congress government was bogged down by corruption in irrigation project works, illicit sand quarrying and illegal transportation of minerals.

Naidu said the TDP was determined to build the future of Andhra Pradesh on a brighter canvas in the world map and appealed to the people to support TDP in the next elections.

He called upon the party leaders and workers to work with unity to defeat the Congress party.
