By making his son and Sircilla MLA K Taraka Rama Rao aks Ktr as Working President Of Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao aka KCR sent a message that his son will soon be made as next CM of the state, possibly in 2019.
Ktr is given all rights to decide on portfolios of KCR’s new cabinet and the former prefers young guns over senior and experienced leaders. Apparently, Ktr feels young and enthusiastic leaders will have the enthusiasm to work hard for good governance.
Siddipet MLA and KCR’s nephew Harish Rao will not be part of the new cabinet, as per sources, as both are expected to contest for Lok Sabha polls. In fact, this stratagem is to give clearance to Ktr in state politics.
Senior leaders like former home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and former deputy chief minister Kadiyam Srihari will probably be sent to Parliament. One amongst Padma Devendar Reddy and Mr Etala Rajendar will be made Speaker of Telangana Assembly.
KCR is expected to take 8 ministers in the first phase of cabinet formation, giving prime priority to sitting loyalists such as Vimala Prashant Reddy from Nizamabad district, S Niranjan Reddy from Mahbubnagar district, MLC Palla Rajeswar Reddy etc.
