Assuring the farming community of relief over the supply of power, Major Irrigation Minister Ponnala Laxmaiah on Wednesday said that the power situation in the state will improve after March 11.
Mr Laxmaiah was speaking in the State Assembly, where he said that the government is taking all measures to tide over the power crisis.
He said that the government was treating the power crisis as a challenge and taking all remedial steps to augment power supply to the farm sector which is undergoing hardships.
The Minister said that power cuts imposed in all districts would not affect the students who are preparing for their examinations.
He assured the Opposition that the government would take steps for supplying drinking water in problematic villages and irrigation water to farmers.
He said the government declared weekly holiday for industries to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
