Tension prevailed at Chief Minister K Rosaiah’s residence when activists of Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) students union tried to lay siege to the CM’s house on Monday morning.
Scores of students reached the CM’s residence and tried to barge in. Raising slogans against the sloppy functioning of the Government in dealing with the reimbursement of fees and release of scholarships to the students, they staged dharna in front of the CM’s residence.
The students demanded the government to pay their scholarships immediately as the academic year is going to end soon.
The police soon swung into action and arrested some students and dispersed others who weretrying to barge into CM’s residence.
