The Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Thursday passed an unanimous resolution congratulating batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar on becoming the first cricketer to achieve the coveted double century in the history of one-day cricket.
Chief Minister K Rosaiah moved the resolution in the House, to be seconded by Leader of Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu.
The resolution stated that ``The Andhra Pradesh Assembly congratulates Sachin on his stupendous performance by making this landmark achievement in his career. You have already made history by becoming the highest run-getter in the history of Test cricket. The double century, which was scored in Gwalior on Wednesday is a moment of glory for the nation. It is a big day for the Indian cricket as well. Keep it up."
The Chief Minister wished that Sachin continue to play for the country for many more years and achieve great many laurels not only for himself but for the nation.
