Vinod K Duggal, member-secretary of the Justice B N Srikrishna Committee will on Wednesday visit Hyderabad to ensure that all infrastructure and other facilities are in place for the Committee to start holding consultations with various groups and political parties.
The Comittee will hold consultations on the contentious Telangana issue from the middle of next month. According to sources in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister's camp office, which former chief minister Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy used, may be alloted to the Srikrishna Comittee. State Chief MInister K Roasaiah has not yet shifted to the camp office even as it was vacated by the late YSR's son YS jagan Mohan Reddy.
Talking to reporters here, Duggal said he would be in Hyderabad since, "these things (setting up of infrastructure and other facilities) have to be done before we start the consultation process in the middle of March. We will hold consultations with all sections of people," he said.
Duggal elaborated that the Committee needs interpreters, stenographers, recorders, conference rooms and other facilities for doing its job in the State. "The committee also needs place for holding consultations and meeting delegations from various organisations on the issue. All these issues have to be solved before the process begins," he said.
