Hyderabad, Aug 10 :-
The state government will announce a special incentive package for reviving the sick industries in the state, said Minister for Major Industries Kanna Lakshminarayana.
Making a statement in the House on Monday, the Minister said that the government would appoint a committee to study the sick industries in the state.
The minister has directed the industries and commerce department to come out with a special package for sick units. The package will benefit a large number of sick units in the state. The state government also plans to organise an investors' meet in all districts, he added.
A large number of units have downed their shutters due to the huge losses and lack of working capital, he pointed out.
The government also plans to set up an expert committee to study the reasons for sickness and come out with a revival scheme, he said.
The committee will study the industrial climate in the state and assess the future potential for setting up more industries in the region, he added.
He said the government has provided employment to 62,000 unemployed youth in the special economic zones set up for this purpose.
He said the government acquired the lands for setting up of economic zones. But the Opposition parties are politicizing the issue for getting mileage, he quipped.
