Minister for Home Ms Sabitha Indra Reddy on Monday stated that the government would provide security to various leaders based on the district committee report submitted by the Superintendent of Polices.
Replying to the Opposition party leaders allegation that the government is planning to scale down the security provided to leaders during Question Hour in the Assembly, the Minister said that there would be no compromise on the security of political leaders.
The Minister assured that there would be "no reduction in the security personnel posted to guard the people’s representatives."
Based on the district committee report forwarded by the District Superintendent of Polices, the security was provided to 732 leaders belonging to various political parties in the state, she pointed out.
The government would provide security to some people based on the directions of court, she further added.The police department would also provide security to those people, whose life is under threat or in the hit list of terrorists, she pointed out.
