''Resignations to the MLA’s posts is not the solution to achieving Telangana,’’ said former Home ministry Jana Reddy here on Thursday.
Speaking to the media, Reddy said the Congress High Command would be convinced and Telangana achieved but not through a constitutional crisis. ``Fromthe beginning, I am not rooting for resignations.I deferred with Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief K Chandrasekhar Rao on this issue, ‘’ Jana Reddy observed.
The ways of fighting for separate Telangana may be different depending upon an individual but the goal is to achieve a separate Telangana, Jana asserted.
``We have full confidence in the High Command that it will solve the problem. We will see the report submitted by the Srikrishna Committee and if the report is not favourable for Telangana, then we will resume the fight for Telangana,’’ he added.
Meanwhile, the pro-Telangana supporters attacked the house of MLA P Vishnuvarhdhan Reddy demanding his resignation to Speaker Kirankumar Reddy. Vishnuvardhan Reddy refused to bow down to their demands and sought to know what the TRS legislators achieved by resigning from the Assembly. Did they get a separate Telangana by resigning, he shot back.
``I am not scared by the threats of Joint Action Committee,’’ he reiterated.
