Rally in Khammam against OU violence

The Students led by Joint Action Committee organized a rally here on Monday in protest against the lathicharge on the students on Osmania University campus in Hyderabad. 

The rally was taken from the Government PG College to Mayuri Centre through Ellandu Cross Road, Zilla Parishad Centre, Wyra Road, Bus Stand Centre. Later, they staged a rasta-roko at Mayuri Centre. 

TSJAC leader, Mr. Ramana demanded that the police officers who caused to the incident should be suspended immediately. ``All the elected representatives from the village level to the MPs in Telangana should resign,” he suggested. 

Ramana said if they did not resign, protest demos would be

organized in front of their houses. The educational institutions

in Khammam were also closed in protest against the lathicharge.
