Srikrishna fires are on in Telangana. Fifteen Telangana MLA’s from five political parties have submitted their resignations to speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy. As the terms of reference mentioned for Srikrishna panel are not in favor for the formation of Telangana, these legislators have reached Assembly by a rally which started from Telangana Political JAC office and submitted their resignations.
Out of 119 MLA’s from Telangana, the count has just been 15 which included 10 from TRS, 2 from Congress (Damodar Reddy & Cheruku Mutyam Reddy) and each one from BJP, PRP and TDP.
Telangana TDP legislators have held up a separate meeting and declared that their resignations will only be forwarded following Congress MLA’s. In the mean time, Telangana Political JAC has come out with few declarations like NON CO-OPERATION movement against all those Telangana MLA’s who went back on resignations.
Rendering their moral support to the resigned MLA’s, students in Osmania University have held up a rally towards Tarnaka which was attacked by Police battalions and few were severely injured. Situation in Osmania turned volatile with in a matter of just few minutes and police are trying hard to get the situation under control.
Telangana students gave a call for ‘Assembly Attack’ on 25th of the month, while Assembly budget sessions are to be started from tomorrow. Telangana MLA’s have expressed their determination to create hurdles for Assembly sessions to be held from tomorrow.
So, Telangana is all set to boil once again under Srikrishna fires.
