Muslims stage dharna

Protesting against the High Court judgment striking down four per cent reservation for Muslims, the minority communities on Tuesday staged a dharna in front of District Collector’s office before submitting a memorandum to him.Later, they formed a human chain at NTR Circle protesting against the scrapping of the Muslim quota.

Muslim Front vice-president Roshan Ali urged the Government to amend the Constitution to provide 10 percent reservation for Muslims. He demanded that the Government restore the quota to the community.The protest disrupted traffic for sometime at NTR Circle.
