TRS MP's son to join BJP on Sept 17

TRS senior leader and Rajya Sabha member Dharmapuri Srinivas's son D. Arvind is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party on September 17.

 According to sources, Arvind will join the BJP on the occasion of party's meeting on Hyderabad Liberation Day in Nizamabad on September 17. The meeting is scheduled to be addressed by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

 It may be mentioned that Arvind had openly expressed his inclination to join BJP by releasing a Page-1 advertisement in leading English daily on August 15 in praise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Although there were reports that Srinivas too might join the BJP, but he dismissed as mere speculation.

Sources say that the BJP might field Arvind as its candidate from Nizamabad Lok Sabha segment which is presently represented by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao's daughter K. Kavitha.
