TDP calls for a discussion on drought situation

Hyderabad, Aug 08 :-

  Telugu Desam Party on Saturday demanded that the Government should call for a discussion in the  Assembly on the drought situation in the State.

Speaking to the media here on Saturday senior TDP leaders Yerrannaidu  and Umareddy Venkateswarulu hit out at  Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara  Reddy and Finance Minister Rosaiah. On one hand when the Union Agriculture Minister Sharad  Pawar is sounding that  there is going to be severe drought all over the country out CM and Finance Minister  don’t seem to be bothered. 

Yerrannaidu categorically stated that during YSR’s rule  blood is flowing more than water.  He called on the government to appoint one senior officer for every drought hit district. The appointed officers should appraise the  government  on the severity of the drought in that particular district and seek the remedial measures.
