KCR congratulates Mithali Raj on becoming top scorer

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has congratulated Hyderabad Cricketer Mithali Raj for breaking the records as the highest runs scored women cricketer in the one-day format of the game and for scoring 6,000 runs so far.

The Chief Minister has sent a message in this regard to her. He wished that Mithali Raj, as captain of the Indian women’s cricket team and in her own capacity, should get more victories. He said it is proud moment for the country as Mithali Raj created a record as the highest run getter and Jhulan Goswami as the highest wicket taker. He said both these young ladies have re-created the playing days of Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev duo who also registered such a performance in the Test cricket.

KCR wished that the Indian women’s cricket team under the captainship of Mithali Raj should register a massive victory. The Chief Minister said the Hyderabad girls who are excelling in Cricket, Tennis, Badminton and winning awards, titles for the country will be inspirational to the young and aspiring girls.
